On October 2, 2010, I married my best friend. We had a perfect wedding. I could not have planned for anything to go better than it did; other than it was too windy for me to have pictures taken outside! Oh well! I am ok with that being the worst thing that happened. I had so much fun in the Bride's Room with my mom, sister, and great friends before the wedding. We spent the afternoon there getting ready and couldn't wait until I heard the words, "It's time."
What can I say about our wedding day, other than it was perfect and so much fun! We had a blast and continue to talk about it all the time. The ceremony was beautiful and just like I dreamt it would be. It went by so fast and before we knew it, we were being sent off to the reception. The reception was just as perfect! We had our reception at the Historic Train Station in downtown Memphis with a Mo-Town band, lots of dancing, beautiful flowers, and delicious food! We danced our first dance to "I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You". Afterwards, I danced with my dad to "My Girl" and Chad and his mom danced to "What a Wonderful World". Then, we walked around and tried to talk to as many guests as possible and thank everyone for coming. After much more dancing, it was time for us to be sent off on our honeymoon. All of our friends and family lined out of the train station with sparklers, where we walked the line to our Cinderella-lit carriage to whisk us off to The Peabody. We looked through the carriage and waved to everyone as they shouted their good-byes and congratulations to us. It truly was a perfect and magical day that we will both treasure forever!
